Book Review: Frog Buster

In an easy to read fairy tale-esque story line, FrogBusters maps out the typical princess’s search for her knight in shinning armor. However despite being labeled a mere guide on dating, the book doesn’t get to dating until chapter four. Before then the book gives advice on how to become a complete person by discovering one’s self, building self esteem and finding what one wants in life. The book also provides some help for the parents sections, so that at a time when kids need them the most; one can find a way to connect to the other. Building up oneself before beginning a relationship is a sometimes neglected necessity. As FrogBusters puts it a Chinese proverb says that when two halves come together, they make a whole, but when two wholes come together there is eternal light and beauty (p30).

The FrogBuster ask one to look at their purpose for dating - not everyone is ready for it. Maybe one is using dating in a vain attempt to fill that emptiness in their heart. And of course FrogBuster lists traits that make guys princely, and lists qualities that result in harmful relationships: what makes a guy a prince is not the way that he looks, but the way that he treats a girl.

The most interesting thing about FrogBuster is that it is a book that many can benefit from. FrogBuster does not limit itself to guiding one to success in dating, but also for such things as finding happiness in life. This a book for many ages to enjoy.
